Seeing Julian Assange in action after a break of about 7 months excited me ,for he has been a man with a substantial whistle for every leak on WikiLeaks.I looked and found his address to the Oxford Union,and boy this time its "him",he claims to have obtained a copy a forthcoming film on him The Fifth Estate and goes on to call it a "massive propaganda" .My first reaction was like ,What!!!,,he should be happy 'bout a film on him but on the contrary he is cynical about it.As the video progresses he questions the ulterior motives behind the film for which he says "lie built on a lie" and accuses Bill Condon ,the director of the film attempting to fuel fears over Iran's nuclear programme.Julian Assange declined to speak about the source from where he got the script and said they were closely examining it whether to put it on the website.
From an outsiders view ,we do not know what is the movie's content and what is on offer.....So till then its Shushiieeeee....But one thing comes to my mind ,creative as these hollywood directors are ,the movie might provide an idea to Julian Assange to escape London where he has been holed up for seven months..sounds exciting...!!!!!!
honesty comes with a price tag i must say! my heart goes out for julian assange. in a world where wars are fought for profit, where power hungry people rule nations, where a dollar note is worth more than human life, what else do you expect man??
ReplyDeletei second your views,but abhimanyu we can't just give a clean chit to the man because he's a whistle blower and has counter attacked the most powerful nation.We do not know how righteous of a man he is after he has been accused of sexual assault charges ...!!!!
Deleteman, have you read abt the allegations that were made. supposedly, these two women never filed a complain before wikileaks happened. not only this, the story behind the charges is somewhat fishy, apparetly, assange separately had consensual sex with two women. The women have since claimed that they changed their mind during intercourse but assange wouldn't stop, although what evidence exists seem to show that they changed their mind some time afterwards, one because the condom being used broke, making their intimacy unprotected and the other when she found out she was not the only person to have sex with him during his visit. u know before all the political pressure came up, a lawyer even left the case saying it was without merit. now wat do we say....
