When you get up late in the morning and the next moment painful realization strikes you point blank about an early morning lab,you are like "MANN,this is gonna be a HARD day".And it really was with a bunch of lectures and labs.Yes,chilling out with friends during the day did help but by the time college came to day's end a question popped up before me,regarding which i couldn't take a firm stand. We had to collect books from the library ,a routine errand ,there were 2 separate lines for boys and girls ,some friend of mine questioned a separate line, and in his defense he said that different lines are formed so that women are not misbehaved with at public places like bus stop etc.Even though some of my closest female friends stood there i could not fault the boy's question because yes we were all great friends and deeper i dwelled more i felt like seconding him,as there was no question of ill treatment to girls there but surely i feel morally for the girls as many of us do .......so still the question lingers....... :-)..."Real Food for thought guys "

ReplyDeletei find myself sharing similar views as yourself aayush. at times we do come accross situations where our concept of righteousness and morality suffer a paradigm shift. sometimes the right contradicts the right. food for thought indeed!
ReplyDeleteWell indeed it is a strange dilemma. "Tradition" is what I would call having separate lines based on gender, and in today's world where women are only superficially respected by many,I personally value this tradition. As far as this case is concerned, having a single line is rightly justified. But being the earths most intelligent and comfort seeking beings when offered an easy way ,choosing to stand in the same line may make them seem foolish rather than intelligent. And if we look beyond intelligence and try to reason this dilemma, well it has been answered. :)
